Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter, better known by her stage name of Ari Lennox, is an American musician and singer who hails from Washington, D.C., who was the first woman to sign with J. Cole's Dreamville Records record label. The first single, Pho on October 21 2016, was released through Dreamville Records. The singer began to earn fame. Shea Butter Baby her debut studio release was May 7th 2019. Ari Lennox began uploading her tracks to the Internet in 2012, when she released her first mixtape Five Finger Discount, and her debut EP Ariography in 2013. The year 2014 saw her release more music via the Internet including Bound. She appeared in Omen's Elephant Eyes and on Sweat It Out July 21st, 2015. J. Cole was interested in her talents and was keen to use it in conjunction with Rihanna. On December 28, 2008 it was revealed that Rihanna was hired with Dreamville Records. Backseat was a track was written by her and Cozz to record the collaboration album Revenge of the Dreamers II. On the 21st of October in 2016, the EP Pho debuted. Ari Lennox performed the song Change by J. Cole as well as opening the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour 2017 in which she was accompanied by EarthGang. In 2018, she appeared in two songs, with the EarthGang's Nothing but the Best song and Bas's Icarus. Ari Lennox debuted her first single, Shea Butter Baby, Whipped Cream on 16 July 2018. A music video was then released in September. On the 9th of November 2018, she released another two singles called 40 Shades of Choke (and Grampa). In November 13, she dropped two singles titled One and Pedigree. One or Pedigree. Shea Butter Baby. Shea Butter Baby then made an appearance as a guest on Creed II album soundtrack alongside Cole. She dropped this single as a way to promote her debut titled Creed II on 26 February 2019. On February 20, 2019, a music clip was released to promote the song. The track has received over three million views on YouTube in its debut week. In December 2018, she performed as performing as a support act on From East Atlanta With Love Tour. From East Atlanta With Love Tour together with 6LACK.
